MidWestOne Financial Group is the 3rd largest publicly traded bank holding company headquartered in the U.S. state of Iowa. It is the holding company of MidWestOne Bank, Central Bank and MidWestOne Insurance Services. MidWestOne Bank has 24 banking locations in Central and Eastern Iowa. Central Bank has banking 13 locations in Minnesota, six in Western Wisconsin and two in Southwest Florida. MidWestOne Insurance Services has 7 locations in Central Iowa. == History ==
MidWestOne Financial Group, Inc. was founded in the 1934 as the Iowa State Bank & Trust Company Iowa City, Iowa by Ben Summerwill. In 1984, the ISB Financial Corp. was established as a closely held holding company for the bank. In 2008, ISB Financial Corp. (acquired ) the former MidWestOne Financial Group, Inc. Oskaloosa, Iowa and took MidWestOne as the name of the company. In 2015, MidWestOne Financial Group, Inc. (acquired ) Central Bancshares, Inc. of Golden Valley, Minnesota, the parent company of Central Bank. MidWestOne Financial Group, Inc. is a public company traded on NASDAQ under the symbol MOFG.
